Program

Welcome and introduction: historical background on the birth of wood dyeing technology in Brianza; natural veneer and fine woods; multi-laminate wood veneer; FSC forest certification; the GOLD Compass Honorable Mention collection: the Red BOX 555.

VISIT THE DEPARTMENTS: warehouse and log yard, shearing, derulation and especially Root processing, cutting methods, veneer drying before and after dyeing, dyehouse, workshop, splicing, purification facilities

During the tour, the following collections will be explained at a technical level: GRAFFITI large-format inlays; GROOVY wood bas-reliefs; SKEENS state-of-the-art boiserie; ESCAPES moodboards for contemporary lifestyles.

TABU achieved carbon neutrality in 2022 by measuring and fully offsetting its_{CO2 emissions emitted} into the atmosphere in 2021. The journey will be recounted: 2020 – Rethinking The Future – the collection of the optimal use of raw material; 2021 – The LCA method for Biodiversity inlays; 2022 – the achievement of carbon neutrality.

The Ideasxwood Contest will also be presented: the world’s most important Contest in the wood sector, promoted by TABU and sponsored by ADI, FederlegnoArredo and FSC® Italia: a competition of ideas aimed at both university students and designers of all ages, annual and international. A project with a strong educational impetus, aimed at supporting the knowledge of wood and its valorization as a noble, living and renewable raw material, because wood can be cultivated and planned in its availability on a planetary scale for the next generations.
